Eagles Hanging Rock Heavens Open Instead Of Hell Freezing Over

by Paul Cashmere on March 1, 2015

in Live,News

Eagles were treated to the complete opposite of hell freezing over at the Hanging Rock show on Saturday night. The heavens opened up instead.

Victoria was hit with one of its most ferocious storms in years on Saturday night. Winds swept through bayside suburbs at more than 140 km/h and the outdoor Eagles show at Hanging Rock in the Macedon Ranges was in the line of fire as the storm swept across Victoria.

Eagles were up to Tequila Sunrise in their set when the 100 km/h winds swept the area. The big screen swayed in the gale and it didn’t take long for the show to be shut down while the storm passed.

After the danger had passed the big screens were lowered to avoid any further swell and the sound gear repositioned so that it didn’t crash down on stage. ‘Get out’, Glenn Frey ordered the audience. Don Henley assured them they would be back and there were.

The storm passed, the Eagles returned and the show went on with the rest of the complete set starting with ‘Already Gone’. Only the intermission was sacrificed.
