Iron Maiden Deftones Alice Cooper Honored At Kerrang

The classic British music magazine, Kerrang!, held their 23rd annual music awards on Thursday night at The Troxy in London.

The magazine, itself, was celebrating its 35th anniversary with an event that saw major veteran artists being honored along with a number of relative newcomers.

The Deftones were presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of their constantly evolving sound over the last twenty years. Iron Maiden, who lost Best British Band to Asking Alexandria, was given the Kerrang! Legend award while Thin Lizzy were named Kerrang! Hero.

In the fan voted categories, Alice Cooper was chosen for Best Radio Show for Nights With Alice Cooper which is heard on Planet Rock in the U.K.
