Jackson Browne will go on the road again in January with just his guitar and piano.

The tour, which concentrates on the U.S. east coast, starts on January 8 in Virginia Beach, VA and runs through January 25 in Englewood, NJ.

Then, in late March and early April, Browne will go down under for a short tour of Australia and New Zealand with his band Bob Glaub (bass), Mauricio Lewak (drums), Jeff Young (organ, piano), Alethea Mills (vocals) with the addition of Greg Leisz (guitar, lap steep, pedal steel), and Shane Fontayne (guitars).

Jackson Browne has written and performed some of the most literate and moving songs in popular music and has defined a genre of songwriting charged with honesty, emotion and personal politics. He was honored with induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004, and the Songwriter’s Hall of Fame in 2007. Beyond his music, Browne is known for his advocacy on behalf of the environment, human rights, and arts education. He’s a co-founder of the groups Musicians United for Safe Energy (MUSE) and Nukefree.org.
