Jackson Browne Tribute Album Coming

by Roger Wink, VVN Music on January 20, 2014

in New Music,News

Jackson Browne will be honoured with a tribute album from friends like Bruce Springsteen and Bonnie Raitt covering his songs.

A wide array of artists have put their own spin on the songs of Jackson Browne on the upcoming Looking Into You: A Tribute To Jackson Browne.

19 of the 23 tracks on the album are performed by veteran artists from Don Henley and Bruce Springsteen to the lesser known band Venice. Each has recorded their own take on Browne song.

Tamara Saviano produces and, unlike previous albums on which she has worked, she has let the artists have full control on their interpretation. “In the past, I used a house band and would create the arrangements ahead of time but, for this album, we relied solely on the artists to create their own vision for the songs and gave them complete control over the instrumentation and arrangement. It was a challenge, but it struck me how excited everyone was to honor Jackson in their own way.”
