Australia’s own Jon English is sharing a stage with Kiss, Status Quo, Krokus, Skid Row, Europe Asia, Saxon and Rush at the Sweden Rock Festival this weekend.

English is a big star in Sweden. He first cracked the Swedish chart with ‘Six Ribbons’ in 1980 when he was playing deported prisoner Jonathan Garreth in the TV series Against The Wind. The show was a ratings winner in Sweden and English has been a star there ever since.

Jon has returned to Sweden to perform for the first time in years with Swedish hard rock band Spearfish as his backing band. Jon’s performance at the Sweden Rock Festival will also be filmed.

Jon will pick up his 2013 Australian tour with the Foster Brothers on June 20 in Melbourne.

Upcoming Jon English dates are:

June 20, Melbourne, Corner Hotel
June 21, Geelong, Gateway Hotel
June 22, Wollongong, Waves
June 29, Canberra, Southern Cross Club
July 3, Newcastle, Wests Leagues
