Linda Perry To Reform 4 Non Blondes For One Show Only

Linda Perry has pulled off the often thought impossible for her annual An Evening With Women Charity Event to benefit the L.A. Gay and Lesbian Center.

Perry has contacted the other three members of her group 4 Non Blondes (Dawn Richardson, Christa Hillhouse, Roger Rocha) and convinced them to do a one-time reunion for her charity event.

The singer/songwriter told Billboard “I was like, `Oh, why don’t I just for the night, just for this one event, one time only, call up the band and see if they want to be part of this? It’s perfect, actually. It actually makes sense to do it now.”

4 Non Blondes was formed in 1989 but the lineup being featured is the version from 1992 to 1994 when the band hit their peak. Their one album, 1992’s Bigger, Better, Faster, More! produced the hit What’s Up? which went to the top of the charts all over Europe and hit number 14 in the states. They broke up during the recording of their second album in 1994.

Since that time, Perry has gone on to write such hits as Get the Party Started for Pink and Beautiful for Christina Aguilera. On March 30, she married actress Sara Gilbert.

An Evening With Women will be held on Saturday, May 10 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
