Meredith Festival Sets 2018 Dates And Opens Ballot

The Meredith Music Festival is on December 7, 8 and 9 in 2018.

2018 will mark the 28th Meredith Music Festival.

The first Meredith Music Festival in 1991 featured The Dead Salesmen, The Boxing Tostados, Kill Sarah, Flamenco Sketches, The Celts, Picko and Ursula’s Dream. By 1999 the festival started to take on an international flavour with Cat Power, The Donnas, Shihad, The Avalanches, SixFtHick, Tendrils, Jimmy Little, The Rectifiers, Legends of Motorsport, Mach Pelican, Augie March, Not From There, Machine Translations, Magic Dirt, Matt Walker and Ashley Davies, Loin Groin, Motor Ace, Pre.Shrunk, Combo La Revelacion, Rocket Science, Dallas Crane, DJ Dexta, Honeysmack, DJ Slack, DJ Dee Dee, Down Town Brown, Wickid Force Breakers, Damien Lovelock.

2010 was another benchmark year with the more contemporary Neil Finn headlining with the jazz sounds of Sharon Jones.

Since then the festival has evolved to take in a wide range of acts. 2011 had Nick Cave’s Grinderman, Cut Copy, Mudhoney and Kurt Vile. Nile Rodgers and Chic headlined 2013 and The War on Drugs clocked up a successful 2014.
