Morrissey Cancels More U.S. Shows Due To Ulcer

Morrissey has cancelled six more shows on his U.S. tour after being diagnosed with a bleeding ulcer.

The singer was admitted to a hospital in Royal Oak, MI on Thursday for what was said to be a bladder infection; however, word has now come down that he is actually suffering from a bleeding ulcer.

His rep released a short statement saying, “Morrissey apologizes greatly for any and all inconvenience and looks forward to continuing his U.S. tour.” They went on to say that he is expected to make a full recovery.

The dates affected:

•01/28 – Asheville, NC – Orange Peel
•01/29 – Nashville, TN – Ryman Auditorium
•01/31 – Atlanta, GA – Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre
•02/02 – Lawrence, KS – Liberty Hall
•02/05 – Clear Lake, IA – Surf Ballroom
•02/06 – Lincoln, NE – Rococo Theatre

His next scheduled shows are February 9 in Las Vegas and February 10 in Tempe, AZ.
