Ozzy Osbourne has issued a statement saying he has not relapsed into drug or alcohol use.

News broke over the weekend that Ozzy and his wife, Sharon, had split with some indication that infidelity was the reason; however, many also pointed to Osbourne’s battles with drugs and booze.

On Monday, Osbourne move to squash those rumors by issuing a statement to E! News, saying “I have been sober for three and a quarter years. I have not touched drugs or alcohol in that time. Any reports that I am not sober are completely inaccurate.”

Hope that some news would come on Monday’s edition of CBS’s The Talk, Sharon’s talk show, very little was said as Osbourne took the day off from the program. Julie Chen, another host on the program, said “Sharon is not here today. There were many tabloid headlines of her and Ozzy, rumors and speculations that they have split up after nearly 34 years of marriage. Sharon understandably took today off and we are sending all of our love to her and to her family. And we ask that you do the same.”
