Rihanna’s grandmother would be delighted to know her legacy is helping others.

Rihanna founded the Clara Lionel Foundation in 2012, in memory of her grandparents Clara and Lionel Brathwaite. The charity aims to improve the quality of life for underprivileged communities across the globe. The Umbrella singer recently put on the second annual Diamond Ball in California, walking the red carpet on Thursday (10Dec15) in a stunning vintage Christian Dior gown.

“She is definitely here in spirit and she feels delighted to be a part of such a great cause, raising money in her honour, to help, save and change many lives,” Rihanna told ET.

The evening was a family affair, with Rihanna showing off her little cousin, 18-month-old Majesty, the daughter of her cousin Noella Alstrom

“Majesty is a feisty one, just like all the woman in my family,” Rihanna smiled. “She already has her personalities. It’s so cute.”

The 27-year-old also spoke about her new music, promising fans they won’t have to wait too much longer.

“The album is coming soon!” she teased.

The star is set to be busy on the music front, as she recently announced she’ll be hitting the road with her rumoured boyfriend Travis Scott. She’ll kick off the Anti World Tour in February (16), ahead of the release of her new album, Anti. She will also be joined by The Weeknd and Big Sean for the European leg of the tour.

The concerts will start in San Diego and will spend three months circling North America before the first leg closes on 7 May (16) at Oakland’s Oracle Arena before moving on to Europe.
