The Cat Empire will release their seventh studio album ‘Rising With The Sun’ in March.

“The music is finished, the artwork is done, we’re all excited about getting the album out as quickly as we can, so people have time to listen to it ahead of our world tour this year. So we are moving the release date forward a week to March 4” explains Felix Riebl.

The Cat Empire will have the album ready for fans ahead of their appearances at WOMAdelaide and Bluesfest.

‘Rising With The Sun’ was recorded across 2015 in between gigs where The Cat Empire played to around half a million people. The album was recorded in home town Melbourne with friend, collaborator and producer Jan Skubiszewski. “We kept everything fresh” frontman Felix Riebl revealed. “We were confident because we had a sound from our previous record (2013’s ‘Steal The Light’) that we were really happy with, so that was our starting point… it was just a matter of going back to that physical space and coming up with new songs.”

Two songs, ‘Que Sera Ahora’ and ‘Wolves’ have already been released from the album.

‘Rising With The Sun’ will be released on 4 March 2016.
