Nick Cave is one of many artists who have recorded ‘Daisy Bell’.

Would you like to sleep well tonight? Maybe you should wait to watch the following four videos until morning.

Last week, we previewed a new album by a variety of artists all performing the song Daisy Bell (aka Bicycle Built For Two) as a companion to an art project by Mark Ryden. The album, pressed in red vinyl, is limited to 999 copies and costs $99 each with proceeds going to the Little Kids Rock charity to help music education in disadvantaged schools.

To promote the album, Ryden has released a number of videos including four by veteran artists Kirk Hammett of Metallica, Weird Al Yankovic, Nick Cave and Mark Mothersbaugh of Devo. Each holds true to the art style of Ryden, who is known as the “Godfather of Pop Surrealism”, presenting everything from what looks like a black and white news real from World War II (Hammett) to a strange singing spud (Mothersbaugh).

Of note is the video by Weird Al that features Ryden’s automation diorama Memory Lane which is part of his “The Gay Nineties West” art exhibit.

There’s even more creative strangeness from Katy Perry, Tyler the Creator, Sara Love and Zac Rae, Truus DeGroot, Ken the Magic Corner God, Scarling and Danny Elfman.
