One Direction Plan Solo Projects

One Direction’s remaining members are apparently feeling the “pressure” to plan a solo career.

The band and all its fans were left shocked when Zayn Malik announced he was leaving the boys in March. Now Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson have been left to perform as a four-piece. According to a source, it’s got the cogs turning for the others, who are already thinking ahead to life after One Direction.

“Zayn leaving struck a nerve with the others,” the insider explained to British magazine Star. “Everyone around them thought Harry would be the first to leave, and he is close with so many different people in the industry.

“Now it feels like there’s more pressure on the others to carve out potential solo careers. They have gone from boys to men and are thinking about their futures.”

It wouldn’t have surprised many, had Harry been the first to leave the band. He’s worked with other artists including Meghan Trainor and Snow Patrol’s Gary Lightbody in the past and a solo track of his also made its way onto the internet.

Morgan Spurlock, who worked with the boys on their documentary film This Is Us, is certain the 21-year-old will be next to jump ship.

“I think they’ll stay together for a little bit longer and I think at some point Harry will probably leave. He’ll probably be next,” Morgan recently stated.

The remaining members have bravely continued their On the Road Again Tour without Zayn and still have shows lined up until October.
