Ed Sheeran is a real singer songwriter, finally someone kids can look up to, appreciate and be proud of. If you have ever had one of those “but will they be around in 10 years” conversations, then Ed is someone who definitely will.

Ed Sheeran not only crafts wonderfully structured songs he is also a natural entertainer.

The Palais Theatre in Melbourne was at capacity with 3000 fans turning up for the sold-out show. From the moment Ed came of stage he held court to the fans, mainly 18-22 year old girls.

There was no band. This was just Ed Sheeran and guitar on stage for 90 minutes with not only song but also some fine conversation. He was articulate between songs as he told stories of his friends and his family, his adventures at music festivals, his time on the road with Snow Patrol and how he is sometimes called on to perform at family functions.

Australia has had an immediate connection with Ed Sheeran.

He has two more shows on this tour and then he is back in February.

Ed Sheeran dates are:

August 4, Adelaide, Thebarton Theatre
August 6, Perth, Riverside Centre

2013 tour dates are:
