Rolling Stones Play Formerly Banned Songs In China SETLIST

by Paul Cashmere on March 10, 2014

in Live,News

The Rolling Stones have performed ‘Brown Sugar’ and ‘Honky Tonk Women’ for the first time in China. The two songs previously banned by the Chinese Government.

When The Rolling Stones first toured China in 2006 the song s ‘Brown Sugar’, ‘Honky Tonk Women’, ‘Beast Of Burden’, ‘Lets Spend The Night Together’ and ‘Rough Justice’ were stamped too risqué and forbidden from the tour.

In 2002 China also censored The Stones ’40 Licks’ compilation down to just 36 licks removing ‘Brown Sugar’, ‘Honky Tonk Women’, ‘Beast Of Burden’ and ‘Lets Spend The Night Together’ from the album.
