The Lee Ranaldo Band – with Steve Shelley and Alan Licht – will be performing in Melbourne at the Hi-Fi, but now they’ve announced a couple of sideshows in Sydney and Brisbane.

They’ll be here supporting his album Between the Times and the Tides, which is out in Australia on Remote Control and has been praised as a “wealth of rock gems that shine with a warm-hearted, Neil Young-like intensity” with “melodies [that] linger like thunder, strong enough to make an impression but letting the instrumental lightning do the stunning.”

Sounds good. The tickets go on sale Wednesday 15 August, but Frontier members can pick up presales from next Monday 13 August.

Lee Ranaldo Australian Tour 2012
Saturday 20 October – Oxford Art Factory, Sydney
Sunday 21 October – The Zoo, Brisbane
Wednesday 24 October – The Hi-Fi, Melbourne
