Steven Tyler will take a little of his new country persona and a lot of his rock swagger on the road this summer with a new band, Loving Mary.

Tyler premiered the band and the concept of the shows for the tour on Monday night at Lincoln Center in New York. Not only is he playing some of his new music, but he is also going back for quite a few Aerosmith classics and enhancing them with Storytellers style introductions.

Overall, 11 of the 15 songs were from Aerosmith, two previously released solo singles, a new song and a cover of Erma Franklin and Janis Joplin’s Piece of My Heart which he had previously performed on American Idol.
