The Rock Of Ages musical has been dropped for Sydney due to poor ticket sales.

The show has been a hit in Melbourne and about to end its 8-month run but Sydney was not so inviting for the show.

Producer Robert Rigby blamed the economy, saying in a release “It has been decided due to the current economic environment Rock of Ages will reschedule its Sydney season at a later time.”

Rock of Ages stars End of Fashion’s Justin Burford.

Rigby says the show may be rescheduled in Sydney at a later date.
