Homebake, Meredith, Pyramid, and now a proper national headlining tour from psych globe-trotters Tame Impala.

The Tame Impala hype is fit to burst at the moment, with worldwide acclaim for their second album Lonerism pouring in, getting 9/10 from NME, five stars from the Guardian, and 9.0 from Pitchfork.

Of course, they’ve just been added to Meredith and Homebake. The goodies keep coming, with headlining shows announced around the nation for the first two weeks of December, before they play Pyramid Rock over the New Year’s break.

Tickets are on sale from Ticketmaster for Melbourne, VenueTix and MoshTix for Adelaide, OzTix for Perth and Ticketek for Sydney and Brisbane.

When the rest of the band toured Japan, feeling betrayed he burgled Carl Barat’s flat and was jailed for six months. Since then, Doherty has toured with the band notably in 2018, where they also played the Forum and, on this sold-out show, clearly devoid of drugs and shenanigans of the past, the two albeit more mature founding members Doherty and Barat have well and truly buried the hatchet.
