The news AC/DC fans have been waiting for is about to drop. The Australian tour announcement is imminent with even AC/DC now spreading the gossip on their socials with the iconic Thunderbolt symbol prominently on display along one of Melbourne’s busiest streets, Punt Road in Cremorne.

Angus Young says he doesn’t care about guitarist polls and is not fussed about where they rank him. In Rolling Stone’s Best Guitarist poll Angus was ranked at no 38 below St Vincent, Maybelle Carter, Joni Mitchell and John Frusciante.

With the impending AC/DC Aussie tour announcement potentially days away, Noise11 takes a look at who is in the band in 2025.

More details of the much-rumoured impending AC/DC Australian dates appear to have been leaked out of Adelaide with FiveAA’s Leith Forrest hearing that as well as the Melbourne and Adelaide dates, Sydney, Brisbane and Perth will be included.

Over the last 36 hours there has been a lot of talk about an imminent AC/DC Australian tour announcement for 2025. It is looking like we will be hearing a confirmation of the tour, maybe next Monday.

Stereophonics will return to Australia in October for their eighth tour. Stereophonics co-founder Rich Jones joins Noise11.com to make the announcement with Paul Cashmere. Watch the video:

The blue-coloured- light drenched the stage, signifying the trademark colour of Rising. Beth Gibbons is here as part of Rising festival to showcase her solo album, Lives Outgrown, with a seven- piece band of musicians. Gibbons last toured Melbourne 15 years ago with proponents of trip hop, Portishead, appearing at Harvest Festival. There she was bathed in the golden afternoon rays of sunlight, but now she’s obscured by stage lights in alternating hues. Her musicians are backlit and positioned either side of the stage in groups of three and the keyboardist is in the centre behind Gibbons.
