Ben Gilles was a founding member of Silverchair. He was 12 when he formed the band with his friends Daniel Johns and Chris Joannou. Their pre-teen grunge sound soon earned them the nickname Nirvana In Pyjamas.

That was nearly 20 years ago. Ben is now 33 and making his own music under the name Bento. Gillies aka Bento released ‘Diamond Days’ in 2012.

Ben dropped by Noise11 to update his story.
