Laneway Announces 2014 Dates

Laneway Festival has announced five new additions to its 2026 national lineup, with each act selected through the annual triple j Unearthed competition. The initiative continues its long history of elevating breakthrough talent across Australia, with the winners set to perform across Laneway's February run in the Gold Coast, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth. The program has been a launchpad for many rising acts, and the 2026 group reflects the depth of new Australian music.

Six time Platinum-selling indie artist Cavetown, the project of English singer and songwriter Robin Skinner, has released his new single NPC, the fourth preview from his upcoming album Running With Scissors, due 16 January 2026. The single arrives as Skinner prepares for an Australian visit next February, where he will appear at Laneway Festival alongside headline shows in Sydney and Melbourne.

Teen Jesus And The Jean Teasers have stepped into a bold new chapter with the release of their second album Glory, out now via Community Music / Mom + Pop. The Canberra-born, now Canberra and Melbourne-based punk-indie quartet have carved out an unmistakable presence in Australian music across the past few years, and Glory arrives as their most self-assured, emotionally charged and musically adventurous work to date.

Acclaimed American singer-songwriter Alex G will make his long-awaited return to Australia in February 2026 for two exclusive headline shows in Sydney and Melbourne. The Philadelphia-born artist will perform at the Sydney Opera House on 9 February and Melbourne's Palais Theatre on 11 February, coinciding with his appearances at the Laneway Festival.
