Etta James died on January 20, 2012, just 5 days before her 75th birthday.

Vika Bull will tell the story of Etta James and perform her music. She was a big fan. “Etta James has had a huge influence on my musical journey. Someone played her record to me when I had just started performing, and from then on I was hooked. She had a voice so powerful it could knock you over, and I just love her sassy cheekiness on stage!” says Vika.

The show will feature Etta’s classic songs including ‘Tell Mama,’ ‘Something’s Got A Hold On Me’, ‘Pushover’, the heart rending ‘I’d Rather Go Blind’, her iconic signature song ‘At Last’ and many more.

‘At Last: The Etta James Story’ is the newest production from Room 8 Productions, the people who brought you the recent shows about Gram Parsons, Eva Cassidy and Bon Scott.

Why AC/DC Never Play ‘It’s a Long Way To The Top’

AC/DC have rarely performed the classic ‘It’s A Long Way To The Top (If You Wanna Rock n Roll)’. The song was only played at AC/DC shows between 1975 and 1979. During that time they performed it 235 times which is a lot, but then as an Australian pub band it was not usual for the band to play seven times a week and sometimes twice on the same day.
