The first Cheap Trick album came out in 1977, the second in the same year. A few years later guitarist Rick Nielsen was playing on John Lennon’s Double Fantasy sessions and taking the Beatle guitar shopping.

Rick Nielsen tells great stories, like the day AC/DC dropped around to his house.

Cheap Trick will be the first international act to tour Australia since Covid when they appear on the Under The Southern Stars festival with Stone Temple Pilots, Bush, Rose Tattoo and Electric Mary.

They will tour Australia will a brand new album to showcase ‘In Another World’.

Rick Nielsen of Cheap Trick spoke to Noise11’s Paul Cashmere.
