Yann Tiersen

French songwriter Yann Tiersen performs three beguiling, stripped-back songs with his band.

Soundrack work (Amelie, Good Bye Lenin!), collaborations (Vienna Symphony Orchestra, Lisa Germano, Neil Hannon) and seven albums of bright and adventurous pop have made Yann Tiersen a French music icon.

Here he strips down two delicate songs from his most recent album Skyline with his band Robin and Lionel – ‘Monuments’ and ‘I’m Gonna Live Anyhow’ – and one from previous album Dust Lane, ‘Ashes’.
