Australia Chooses TISM Over Kylie For Eurovision

Australians would rather see TISM represent their country at Eurovision is the two polls at Charge.org last week are anything to go by.

Separate petitions were launched after the announcement that Australia will be allowed to compete in the Eurovision Song Contest this year as the guest country to mark the 60th anniversary of the event.

On the TISM side the case is, “It’s inarguable that since 2004, Australia has been going downhill. In 2015, the downhill slide peaked with our Prime Minister Tony Abbott inexplicably knighting Prince Philip, Tay Swizzle even having a chance at cracking the Hottest 100, and Australia being picked as an official competitor for the Eurovision Song Contest. We have a chance to tell the world that goddammit, This Is Serious Mum”.

Kylie fans were more serious and to the point arguing Kylie Minogue should represent Australia ‘because WE LOVE KYLIE!!!!”.

Conchita Wurst, Eurovision winner 2014, music news, Noise11.comWhile TISM fans may not have articulated their case to have the Melbourne rock band perform at Eurovision they were certainly more active than Kylie fans.

As of Monday February 16 TISM has generated 13662 signatures to Kylie’s 425.

Who would stand the best chance of winning Eurovision for Australia? Well, the 2014 winner was bearded lady Conchita Wurst for Austria. Maybe the best option for Australia is for Kylie to join TISM and compete for the country together.
