One Direction’s Niall Horan has taken the top singles spot in Australia from The Chainsmokers and Halsey with his song ‘This Town’.

23-year old Horan is the second One Direction member to release a solo song after former member Zayn Malik.

The Chainsmokers and Halsey hit ‘Closer’ spent seven weeks at no 1 on the Australian download chart and is shaping up to be one of the biggest songs of 2016.
