Just week’s ago, Kylie paid tribute to Terry when he was given the Peter Grant Award at the Artists & Managers Awards. In her speech she said, “Terry, thankyou so much for everything. For helping a 19-year-old girl take on the world and become a woman and an artist.
“Here’s to the future.”

Blamey developed Kylie’s right career from the start. He met her as she was about to record her debut single ‘The Loco-Motion’ in 1987.

He was there with her for her first show at the Tokyo Dome in 1990. He has been the producer of all of her shows and executive producer of all of her live DVDs.

Blamey went into artist management in 1966 and in 1973 hooked up with Michael Gudinski to run the newly founded Premier Artists.

He also launched the career of Kylie’s sister Dannii Minogue.

The split effectively puts Kylie’s music career on hold as she wraps up her 25th anniversary year.
