Davey Lane of You Am I fame has committed to making his first solo album and has opened up the option for fans to get involved via crowdfunding.
Davey has targeted to raise $15000 for the project over the next 29 days and after firing the starting pistol at 9am today has already passed 10% of his goal.
The items on offer for pledgers start with a digital download of the record and go through to the ultimate $8000 guitar, made especially by Davey.
One of the quirks of Davey’s life that has surfaced with the Pozible campaign is that Davey is an excellent cook. He is offering a home-made cookbook with his favourite recipes as part of the project.

Davey Lane has been the lead guitars for You Am I since 1999. He has played on every You Am I album since ‘Dress Me Slowly’ (2001). He also fronts his own band The Pictures, who have been performing since 2002.
Davey Lane’s sole solo release to date is his E.P. ‘The Good Borne of Bad Tymes’.
