David Bowie Reality To Be Released On Vinyl

by Roger Wink, VVN Music on February 26, 2014

in News

David Bowie’s 2003 album Reality will receive its first ever vinyl release on March 17 via Music on Vinyl.

The album was produced by Bowie and Tony Visconti and was recorded at New York’s Looking Glass Studio and was the singer’s last album before his ten year hiatus leading up to last year’s The Next Day. It was during the tour in support of the album that Bowie was diagnosed with an acutely blocked artery, leading to the decade-long break.

The album reached number 3 in the U.K., his best in ten years, and 29 in the U.S. and was released in a number of formats including standard CD, deluxe CD with three bonus tracks, hybrid SACD and CD/DVD set with footage from the tour, but not in vinyl as the format was at its lowest point at the time of original release.

Music on Vinyl’s edition will include a large format 12-page booklet and will not only be released on standard black vinyl, but also in limited edition (2,500 copies each) orange and transparent green vinyl.

The track list for Reality

Side One
New Killer Star
Pablo Picasso
Never Get Old
The Loneliest Guy
Looking For Water
She’ll Drive
The Big Car
Side Two
Days
Fall Dog Bombs The Moon
Try Some, Buy Some
