Duran Duran Christen Album Paper Gods

Duran Duran have made it official that their new album will be called Paper Gods.

Due out in September, the new set will be their 14th studio release and the first in their new deal with Warner Brothers. Nile Rodgers, who worked with the band on extensiviely during the 80’s, producing the hits The Reflex, Wild Boys and their entire album Notorious. He also worked with the Taylor’s on their Power Station side project.

Rodgers is joined on the album by Mark Ronson, who produced their last album, All You Need is Now, and Mr. Hudson.

Look for the first single from the album, Pressure Off featuring Janelle Monae, prior to the album release.

The group will also be touring in support of the album starting June 20 in Barcelona, Spain and running through December 12 in Liverpool, England.

10/02 – Berkeley, CA – The Greek Theatre
10/03 – Rancho Mirage, CA – Agua Caliente Casino
11/27 – Manchester, U.K.- Manchester Arena
11/28 – Leeds, U.K.- First Direct Arena
11/30 – Cardiff, Wales – Motorpoint Arena
12/02 – Brighton, U.K.- Brighton Centre
12/04 – Birmingham, U.K. – Genting Arena
12/05 – Newcastle, U.K.- Metro Radio Arena
12/06 – Glasgow, Scotland – The SSE Hydro

There are a lot of empty dates in that itinerary so expect the tour to expand in the future.
