Elvis Costello has announced a 21-date UK tour called ‘Detour’ in the early summer of 2015.

Elvis Costello’s solo shows have been some of the most adventurous of his illustrious career.

This past year has seen him hit the stage of the legendary Paris venue, l’Olympia and the Bela Bartok National concert Hall in Budapest.

The New York Times said of his solo Carnegie Hall debut in June 2014, ‘Costello offered something else: a continuing, challenging, intimate engagement with his songs, old and new’.

In July, he played the re-opening concert at Brangwyn Hall, Swansea headlined at Kew Gardens and played an intimate show at the De La Warr Pavilion in Bexhill-on-Sea before touring the capital cities and small towns of Europe for five weeks in Autumn.

Whatever the venue, this is not a show to be missed.

Elvis Costello Jump Up Found New Life In Stephen Colbert’s Farewell Show

Elvis Costello's obscure 1970s demo "Jump Up" was never a hit, never a single and rarely played live, yet it became one of the most discussed songs of the final episode of Stephen Colbert's Late Show. The track's political satire, its unusual history and Colbert's long-standing affection for the song explain why an overlooked recording resurfaced for television's farewell moment.
