Jeff Goldblum, yes that one, has made a jazz record.

‘The Capitol Studios Sessions’ is the first album for the 65-year old actor. Goldblum made the album with The Mildred Snitzer Orchestra. He plays piano. Apparently he has been playing piano since he was a child.

Goldblum has performed with his jazz band in Los Angeles and New York for the past two decades. He also hosts a weekly residency at LA’s Rockwell Table and Stage when he isn’t acting.

“I love improvising and that feeling of communication and interplay. It’s one of the cornerstones of my acting technique. I see my music in the same way,” Jeff said in a statement.

As the title suggests, Goldblum recorded the album at Hollywood’s Capitol Records studios. Guests on the record include American songstress Haley Reinhart and US comedian and actress, Sarah Silverman. Trumpeter Till Brönner also makes an appearance.

Jeff Goldblum ‘The Capitol Studios Sessions’ will be released on 9 November 2018.
