Jon Stevens Returns With New Solo Album ‘Woman’

Jon Stevens has reactivated as a solo artist with ‘Woman’, his first album since leaving The Dead Daisies.

‘Woman’ is Stevens first solo album since 2011’s ‘Testify’ and the first time back in the studio since The Dead Daisies debut album of 2013.

Jon was a solo artist in New Zealand before moving to Australia in the 1980’s and forming Noiseworks. His first album ‘Jezebel’ reached number 7 on the New Zealand album chart in 1980.

Stevens formed Noiseworks in Sydney in 1986 with bass guitarist Steve Balbi, guitarist Stuart Fraser, drummer Kevin Nicol and keyboardist Justin Stanley. They released three albums ‘Noiseworks’ (no 6, 1987), ‘Touch’ (no 5, 1988) and ‘Love Verses Money’ (no 1, 1991).

‘Woman’ was recorded in Sydney with producer Sam Iervasi. The first single ‘Woman’ is available as a free download for two weeks from Jon’s Facebook page.
