KT Tunstall and Suzi Quatro are up to something together. The pair have been working on something new at RAK Studios in London.

“Homeward bound after an amazing day at legendary #RAKstudio with the even more legendary @Suzi_Quatro (more about that later!).

KT also tweeted, “Guys… @Suzi_Quatro and I are IN THE STUDIO!! Amazing first day yesterday, cutting a few killer songs we’ve written together. No plan, just making music. Suzi’s son Rich is currently slaying over-dubs”.

Suzi responded saying, “Yes yes yes yes..and yes…… great day in studio…my sons first session on guitar at request from KT cuz she like the demo of one of the songs we wrote which he played on…three new tunes. Suzi and KT.. a bit of@magic was created ….starting again today.”

KT told the Sunday Observer, “With Suzi, I’d always known who she was, and what she’d done. I watched Happy Days as a kid and the cover of my album Drastic Fantastic was definitely a nod to her.
“But I think why I particularly loved Suzi wasn’t just because she was the first female rock ‘n’ roll star ever. The fact that I’m a woman is secondary to the fact that I am a musician, and although Suzi was feisty and sassy and fiery, it was about her being a great player.”

KT Tunstall says her new song ‘The River’ was inspired by Suzi Quatro.

The current sessions are expected to build into an EP of duets.

Suzi Quatro will tour Australia for series two of Red Hot Summer 2019.

Red Hot Summer with Suzi will also feature The Angels, Baby Animals, The Screaming Jets, Jon Stevens, Moving Pictures and Chocolate Starfish.
