Lucinda Williams opened her tour in support of the new album, The Ghosts of Highway 20, on Saturday night at College Street Music Hall in New Haven, CT.

In the End, Lucinda played more songs, five, from her classic Car Wheels on a Gravel Road while mixing in three each from 2014’s Down Where the Spirit Meets the Bone and 2001’s Essence.

Late in the show also brought three covers, Woody Guthrie’s I Ain’t Got No Home, Sam Cooke’s A Change is Gonna Come and an evening ending Rockin’ in the Free World.

Bluesfest Melbourne Day Two was a rollercoaster ride. There was so much great music packed into one day that it was impossible to see it all.
