Moore has told CBS News, “I’m probably going to work with my husband on this album. I’m not sure necessarily in what capacity, but we’ve been writing a little bit together. He has a studio, so I definitely want to make my record there.”

Her next album will be the first since 2009’s Amanda Leigh which was released just after she and Adams married.

She continued, “There’s a lot to say and a lot that’s happened to me in the last three or so years since the last record’s come out. So I have been writing a lot and it’s definitely going to be an intense, emotional record. I’m excited about it. I’m excited to get into the studio and start recording.”

Moore also said that Adams has expanded her musical horizons. She said, “There’s tremendous influence right now around the house – from the music I’ve been introduced to, and being very happy and in a healthy, happy relationship. I think that still garners a lot of material to write about.”

Following her teen pop beginnings, Moore’s most recent two albums have leaned further towards folk and country when she began having a more active role in the songwriting.

Moore hopes to have the album finished by the end of the year, or early in 2013. Check out a single from Amanda Leigh below.
