Last August, Bon Jovi released their album Burning Bridges which was, for all intents and purposes, the band’s way of fulfilling their contractual obligation to Mercury Records with whom they had recorded since their 1984 debut.

At the time, Jon Bon Jovi called it the end of an era, telling Billboard “I’ve stayed at that label my entire life — 32 years. I am the longest tenured artist on Mercury, or whatever they are called this week. But my deal was up, and that’s that.”

Burning Bridges was the group’s thirteenth studio album and their worst performing in thirty years, making it only to number 13.

Today, Bon Jovi announced their next album, This House is Not For Sale and their signing with Island Records which, like Mercury, is owned by Universal Music Group (UMG).

The band announced the completion of the album with a photo on Twitter:

This will be the second album without Ritchie Sambora, after Burning Bridges. The current lineup for the band is Jon Bon Jovi, Hugh McDonald, David Bryan, Tico Torres and Phil X. Also pictured above is John Shanks who produced the new album with Jon. Recording was done at The Power Station in Manhattan.
