Reformed Liverpool band Cast have reformed and will tour Australia for the first time ever in May.

The band recently signed with Alan McGee’s Creation Management and returned to the studio for a new album. It will be the second album from Cast since they reformed in 2010.

During the break-up singer John Power released his solo album ‘Happening For Love’, Peter Wilkinson joined Echo and the Bunnymen, Keith O’Neill became a tour manager for Art Garfunkel and Liam Tyson joined Robert Plant’s band.

In a statement John Power said, “Getting back with the band and working with John Leckie again after all these years apart was just how I envisioned it when I started writing the songs for this album. Then it was all about putting into words what it was I was feeling, about all the things I was seeing all around me and troubled times is what we found.”
