Russell Morris has performed a stripped down acoustic version of the title track from his ‘Van Dieman’s Land’ album for Ticketmaster’s new program TMTV.
The ‘Van Dieman’s Land’ album debuted at no. 4 on the ARIA album chart this week making it the highest debuting album ever for Russell Morris in his 48 year music career.
‘Van Dieman’s Land’ is the second album in a trilogy of blues albums where Russell Morris tells the story of Australia’s colourful and notorious characters from the past. Russell’s previous album ‘Sharkmouth’ was the biggest selling Australian album of original songs in 2013 and earned Morris both a platinum award and ARIA Award for Best Blues and Roots album.
TMTV is Ticketmaster’s weekly snapshot of events across Australia. The show is presented by host Anthony Barton who brings up you to date with tour news and new album highlights and showcases new music via a live performance.
