Tame Impala To Play Their Biggest Ever Australian Shows

Kevin Parker's Tame Impala expand the Deadbeat Tour with new Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney shows after multiple arena sell-outs across Australia.

Tame Impala, the visionary psychedelic project led by Western Australia’s own Kevin Parker, has officially announced a massive homecoming arena tour for October 2026. The Deadbeat Tour follows the monumental success of Parker’s fifth studio album, Deadbeat, which has further cemented his reputation as one of the most influential musical forces of the 21st century.

ARIA has again pointed the finger at commercial radio while the only Australian song in the current ARIA Top 40 belongs to Tame Impala, raising fresh questions about how the charts are compiled and who is really supporting local music.

Australian music fans have delivered another brutal message to local artists in 2025, with streaming figures revealing that only one genuinely new Australian song cracked the Top 10 most streamed Australian tracks of the year.

Australia will be well represented at the 2026 Grammy Awards, with Perth's Tame Impala, Sydney's RÜFÜS DU SOL and Melbourne's Amyl & The Sniffers earning nominations across major contemporary categories. The awards will be announced on 1 February 2026.

Kevin Parker has unveiled another glimpse into the next era of Tame Impala with the release of his brand-new single Dracula. The track arrives today (26 September), just three weeks before the launch of Parker's fifth full-length album Deadbeat, due out 17 October through Columbia Records.
