Truckfighters To Thaw Out In Australia In January

by Paul Cashmere on December 12, 2014

Temperatures in Örebro, Sweden are expected to be below zero for most days in mid-January so it is no surprise that Örebro’s own Truckfighters have chosen Australia to spend the start of 2015.

Truckfighters formed in Örebro in 2001 and despite the sub-zero winter temperature are still based there. However, they do get away when they can and we a promoter such as Premier Artists in Melbourne wipes out the weather map, that is all the incentive a Swedish band needs to visit Australia in January.

Three-piece Truckfighters released their first album ‘Gravity X’ in 2005. ‘Universe’, the fourth Truckfighters album was released in 2014.

Wikipedia has some interesting descriptions of the band. Truckfighters are described as stoner rock, stoner metal, heavy metal and desert rock. A more fitting description would be to say fans of Black Sabbath and Wolfmother should check this band out.

Truckfighters dates

January 17, Gosford, Baker St
January 18, Newcastle, Small Ballroom
January 21, Adelaide, Ramsgate Hotel
