Jimmy Barnes will make his first appearance back in Victoria since his heart surgery this weekend when he headlines Red Hot Summer in Bendigo.

Jimmy Barnes has returned to work. Jimmy played his first show since his heart surgery at Byron Bay on Sunday. It was his first stage appearance since Mushroom 50 on 26 November. Days later, he was fighting for his life after a bacterial infection spread to his heart.

Jimmy Barnes has added a few more Red Hot Summer shows for Noosa and Cairns when he returns to work in April.

Jimmy Barnes has revealed that his next tour will be the ‘Hell of a Time’ tour to mark the ‘Flesh and Wood’ album 30th anniversary. The tour will commence in Perth in June.

The last time I saw Birds of Tokyo perform most of the songs they played at Red Hot Summer they were a much bigger band. There were about 60 of them.

What started as a last moment rushed together event at the end of 2023 has become an incredible tribute to Jimmy Barnes, and we have his daughter Mahalia to thank for it.

Jimmy Barnes is home and doing well recovering from his recent heart operation of in the interim Jimmy’s daughter Mahalia has taken over the family business, the band, for Red Hot Summer.
