Brian Wilson, Promise of the Real, Taj Mahal Announce Bluesfest Sideshows

by Paul Cashmere on November 24, 2015

in Live,News

Bluesfest sideshows for Brian Wilson, Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real, Taj Mahal and more have been announced across Australia for March and April.

Brian Wilson will return to Australia for a reprise edition of his Beach Boys classic ‘Pet Sounds’. Wilson first performed ‘Pet Sounds’ in Australia on his first solo tour of 2002. For the following tour in 2004 he performed the (at the time) unreleased Beach Boys album ‘Smile’. Wilson last visited Australia in 2010.

Lukas Nelson is the son of Willie Nelson. His most recent album ‘The Monsanto Years’ features Neil Young on vocals. That may or not be a hint as to what is still yet to be announced for Bluesfest. Time will tell.

Bluesfest Melbourne Day Two was a rollercoaster ride. There was so much great music packed into one day that it was impossible to see it all.
