Beach Boys Back With Brian Wilson And 42 Song Set

Never mind that the average age of the five main members of the reunited Beach Boys is 68, it didn’t stop them from putting on a two-set, 42-song show for the opening of their 50th Anniversary Tour Tuesday night in Tuscon.

The show also featured vocals from deceased members Dennis and Carl Wilson.

Australia, get ready, Noise11 hears the show is also coming here … soon.

Reviews have generally been very good for the show with critics marveling at how well Al Jardine and Mike Love can still hit the notes on the classics; however, there were many comments about Brian Wilson’s wooden look throughout the shows.

Fans, though, couldn’t have asked for much more from a set that went all the way back to the beginning with Surfer Girl up to their brand new single, That’s Why God Made the Radio. Included was every top 40 hit from 1962 to 1969 except for Caroline, No, Wild Honey and I Can Hear Music.
