Smither has recorded over a dozen albums but is name-checked in the Linda Barnes’ novels starting with A Trouble of Fools in 1987.

Barnes’ novels feature private investigator Carlotta Carlysle who is a major Smither fan.

It’s not the only time Smither gets a nod in a novel. Israeli writer Moshe Benarroch uses his line “I Am The Ride” in the opening page of his novel ‘Keys To Tetuan’.

Chris’ most recent album is Hundred Dollar Valentine.

Smither will spend all of March is Australia, presented by Gaynor Crawford, and has just announced his Bluesfest sideshows. It will be his sixth Australian tour.
