Bluesfest 2013 has won the Best Major Festival and Event Award at the NSW Tourism Awards held in Sydney this week.

Bluesfest 2013 featured its biggest line-up ever in 2013 with Paul Simon, Robert Plant and Santana playing at the festival.

Bluesfest took the award over the Tamworth Country Music Festival.

“ What an honour to receive a NSW Tourism Award three years in a row, we are proud to bring this award home to the North Coast and to be representing NSW in the Australian Tourism Awards in February next year,” festival director Peter Noble said after winning.

The Bluesfest 2014 line-up will feature John Mayer, Dave Matthews Band, Jack Johnson, Jake Bugg, Doobie Brothers, Boz Scaggs, Gregg Allman and Dr John.

Bluesfest 2014 will be held from April 17 to 21 at the Tyagarah Tea Tree Farm in Bryon Bay, NSW.
