Engelbert represented the UK at Eurovision 2012 and says that although he didn’t win, it rejuvenated his career.

In his letter he says,

“Dear Bonnie,

“I wanted to take this opportunity to congratulate you on being the one to represent our wonderful country.

“The Eurovision was such a great step in my career and with the grand support of the BBC and my beloved country behind me, the loss of winning had me stepping on a loose unforgiving stone on a pyramid to paradise……but paradise will always be there for someone else to triumph in fair judgment to pride our country once again”.

He finished off the note with “PS. You can do it Bonnie!!”

Engelbert is working on an album of duets at the moment. Seal and Sir Elton John have already recorded songs with Engelbert for the album.

Engelbert Humperdinck will also feature on the second album for The Break ‘Space Farm’ due next week through Sony Music.

The Break is Rob Hirst (Drums – Midnight Oil), Jim Moginie (Guitar, Theramin, Keys, Producer – Midnight Oil), Martin Rotsey (Guitar – Midnight Oil), Brian Ritchie (Bass – Violent Femmes) and Jack Howard (Trumpet – Hunters & Collectors).
