Katy Perry and John Mayer want to tie the knot immediately.

The musicians have engaged in an on/off relationship for about a year now.

Katy and John appear to be going strong currently, as the couple were seen out looking loved up in New York City this week, with Katy reportedly introducing John as her boyfriend. They also released a love song duet entitled Who You Love, which is featured on John’s upcoming album Paradise Valley.

Apparently the track is indicative of their devotion to each other.

“The song is just the first of many that they plan to do together. This is the real deal for Katy. She says he is the one,’ a source told Hollyscoop.

‘I am sure that within the next year they will be engaged, as it is what they both want.’

It is rumoured the stars may wed at a secret service.

The pair doesn’t want their union to become a public affair.

“As far as marriage, they would never have a big elaborate Hollywood wedding,’ the insider detailed.

‘It will be the type of thing that you don’t hear about it at all until after the fact.”

Katy supposedly thinks her relationship with John contains a powerful spiritual element.

The star is said to be convinced that all of her life experience has prepared her for John’s love.

‘Katy believes that everything that she has done.fame and all.has led her to him,’ the insider said.

John’s new album Paradise Valley will hit shelves August 20 and Katy’s fourth studio album Prism is due for release in October.
