Man Found Dead At Falls Festival Byron Bay

A 26-year old man has been found dead at the Falls Festival at Byron Bay.

The yet-to-be named man was discovered at the camp site at the festival at 7:30am today (December 31, 2014).

The death of the man was confirmed via the Falls Festival Facebook page:

“We’re extremely sad to report the following.

“On Wednesday December 31, 2014 a male was found deceased onsite at The Falls Music & Arts Festival in Byron, at this stage police are not treating it as suspicious. The deceased has been identified and relatives have been notified. A report is being prepared for the coroner and the festival cannot comment further as it is a police matter.

“Our thoughts are with his family and friends during this terribly sad time”.

Police have confirmed that there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death of the man. The festival is going ahead as planned at Byron Bay.

The Falls Festival is being held in Lorne, Victoria, Marion Bay, Tasmania and Byron Bay, New South Wales over New Years.
